i am the lotus
born into a muddy world...
cloudy and damp with confusion...
yet, the Sun gives me hope
the Sun gives me strength to strive for brighter days
The Sun restores my energy with every breath I take
as I breath in all things around me...
almost ready for the world to see
the beautiful gifts i behold
i just need a little rain to nourish me
clean off my petals and you will see...
my glorious destiny...

Update!!
Peace and Blessings!
It's one month into the New Year, and I would like to share a piece of my soul with you! In retrospect 2010 was certainly a progressive year. I made some pretty big strides. The first was releasing my mixtape entitled "Glow", which created a noteworthy internet and street buzz. Then, performing on stages from the west coast to the east coast and all the way down south. And I must say that giving and receiving love is always a beautiful thing! Thanks to all of you who have lent me your support thus far.
While in New York I finished writing my debut single "Rise;" a song in which I call social commentary. In the same vein as Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," "Rise" is a song in which I express my concerns about the state of the nation and world with a neo soul/hip hop flavor. I'm sure many of you will feel this progressive yet soulful track. Produced by heavyweight producer Daeone, who's resume includes such artist as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Cube. So "Rise" most certainly has the west coast feel all over it. Get ready to nod your head and cruise!
I closed out the year by shooting the video for "Rise." I would love for you to check it out! It's directed by a dynamic pair of young artist, Doogie Benesch and Francis Lansang. Also, the video features d.j. S.O.U.L-O of West Coast Unknown Productions and Impacc representing Do It Ourselves Entertainment. Please pay it forward by forwarding the video to everyone you know. Lastly, thank you for taking the time out to listen to me. I truly appreciate the love and support. I look forward to seeing you all over the place.
